Before I finally finish our downstairs renovations I'm thinking about hiding a small time capsule in the cavity wall. This is partially for my own amusement but also for my 6yo daughter.
When I was boarding the loft I found a stack of old pennies and half pennies hidden between the joists, the oldest being 1913, and I keep finding the odd penny or 2 pence piece under the wooden flooring when I'm pulling bits up. I quite like the idea of leaving something for someone to find in 10 or 20 years time, or longer.
Ideally things that could fit in a small 10x20cm box. I'm thinking:
a set of coins
front page of a newspaper
letter to the finder
postcards from our seaside town
a photo of us
