Indeed I am!
I just find the machine more responsive with this setup. May lose a few ppd over the two VM's with two clients each method.

Faster to reboot too..... :D
 
The VM has 1024mb

Box has got 4gig although running XP Home so only sees 3.5gig in total.
Seems to work OK getting about 4k ppd @3.2

That makes sense now, seeing how you have 4gb of RAM. I've left just the one client running on my Quads. Seems to be doing well, I'm in the 7min range for most of the bigger WU's.

This is from an earlier post, so I don't have data on the Quad w/2653's handy

Hi guys, got most of my kit back up now, currently as follows :-

E6600 @ 2.8 in Media PC - Vista Ulti 32bit - 1x SMP

Q6600 @ 3.4 - 2x SMP's - Native Ubuntu 64bit (as of tonight from single Win SMP)

E2140 @ 3 - 1x Win SMP - Maybe upgraded to Linux sometime...

P4 2.8 @ 3.2 powering x1950pro


I have an AMD 939 x2 rig just in need of a CPU, i may mop one up for £40 from OC, but dunno if its worth it for 700 odd ppd :confused:
