Nothing beats Mortal Kombat 3 on the Sega Saturn.

That game had crazy fatalities, and loads of selectable players

.. except maybe X-Men Vs. Street Fighter on the Sega Saturn. The pinnacle of 2d fighting on any console imho.

I have never owned a game in the fighting genre, however I can't wait for Soul Caliber IV and Tekken 6.

How about IK+ on the spectrum, 2 player fighting and you could get the characters trousers to fall down ha

Think there was a 3 player C64 version
