Whatever happened to the British "Gentleman"?

I know times have changed but is it soo wrong to want to be polite, well dressed, well spoken and kindly mannered?

When did you last place a coat across a puddle so a ladies feet did not get wet?

How often do I hear men shouting profanity in a public place with no self respect.

(I think the problem with that one is there are too many beer swilling, kebab eating, foul mouthed women)

I actually admire the British Gentleman, a shame he is a dying or if not dead breed of individual.

Sarcasm fails here, as it could easily be said that the chav underclass is a recent phenomenon. Especially since until (relatively) recently there wasn't even a word for the aforementioned demographic.

A new word to describe a new problem IMO.

Yes the words you mentioned have been around for decades, but they were (back in the day) words which describe groups confined to inner-city suburbs. Chav culture is a new thing which is not limited to those locations, but now exists practically everywhere in the UK.

I would say 95% of girls not matter how bad or good they are want a bad boy.

Sometimes they dont even know it them selves, Like an ex of mine who i remained good friends with. After me every one she went out with or had a crush on had some kind of criminal History or was a Bogan.
And she is one of the quietest, nicest, well behaved girls you can get.

Yea but he's right and you're wrong. 95% heh, that's a nice statistic. Seriously, the level of stupidity to honestly believe it is a rule that girls exclusively go for bad guys is unparalleled. Like Rob said, I think you are confusing someone with actual social confidence with a "bad boy". It reflects on you that your ex went off with some dude with a criminal history. Mate, you picked the wrong girl, get over it. I know plenty of girls who've had plenty of boyfriends, and guess what, some girls go for "bad boys" (god I hate that phrase), and some go for good guys. Just because you're bad at picking, doesn't mean all girls are like that. Jesus christ, how is this not incredibly obvious?

Plus you're 19 for god's sake, I highly doubt you've experienced the full spectrum of things...adolescent girls are not the same as actual fully grown women you do realise? I'll grant you that women are stupid below the age of about 18, but after that the difference is immeasurable.
