I fail to see why people are against iTunes so much seriously what is the problem?

I've used my friends Creative Vision M using my normal headphones I use on my iPod and it wasn't as good. (Shure e2c's)

Plus the Vision M is ugly as sin, more bulky too.

For the price I got my 30GB Video iPod last November (£125, BestBuy, Florida) it can't be beaten, love it.

I personally love iTunes, I have no idea how people have so many problems with it!

The only reason that I can think of is if you don't have all your music tagged up, in which case I agree that it would be completely un-useable. But if it is then it a breeze to use, I use it as my main player and I don't even have an iPod!

I like iTunes too I prefer it much more Winamp/WMP it's easy to use and great for tagging.

I cant stand itunes, had to install it a couple of weeks ago to put music on my gf's mums nano.

Its like all apple software, very badly coded and generally carp.

Now I know you obviously havent used much of Apple's software as their O/s is far better than anything Microsoft have ever made. I used Mac for around 6 years and have had to come back to MS (using Vista which is OK, but not spectacular) until I can afford a new Macpro with OS 10.5 when it is launched.

Mac software is not buggy if used on a mac, software like iTunes for MS o/s is not made by the same team that does it for mac and uses a different code anyhow.

But to claim Apple software is 'very badly coded and generally carp' shows you have no idea of Apple's software. After all 99% of hollywood use it and almost all special effects in films is made through a mac.

I agree that the ipod is better looking and smaller than the Vision M... but the vision M has got edge on audio side - its got a bigger fuller sound than the ipod. The ZEN also suports more video formats than ipod.... Drag n drop thru windows. Thats what the ZVM has over the ipod and why people still buy it.

PS the Shure e2c's aint very good!

Well personally my iPod with the Spoken Word EQ sounded far better than my mates Vision M on my headphones, guess it depends on headphones?
Still I'd never have a Vision M as I can't stand the looks and the interface, it's a poor rip from the iPod one near enough and the buttons are horrible.

I like iTunes it IS drag and drop aswell pretty much, nice little player too and great for getting podcasts.
I don't really care for Video features, don't use mine much even so it's no hassle to convert takes about 2 mins to convert a half hour TV show to .mp4/whatever.

Shure e2c's do me fine had quite a lot of headphones before these are a great mix between treble and bass for me. :)

i've got a 80gb ipod with a portable amp/lineout dock + some shure e500's and rockbox with EQ + Crossfeed.

kicks the cr@p out of anything else out there, i moved from a iriver h340 to this and the ipod totally owns the iriver in every aspect.

there's a reason a lot of ppl who spend good of money on headphones and amps use ipods.....they're actually pretty nice once tricked out, although using the headphone out leaves a lot to be desired. A lineout dock makes a pretty hefty difference in SQ str8 away.
