The 480 SE is the one to get at the moment (until Wednesday) otherwise on the £200 bracket there is nothing else than the 6950 for the best value card at the moment.

Well, maybe outperforming was a poor choice of words. It's swings and roundabout tbh, in some benches the 6950s are faster, and the 480 in others.
I've always been a little wary of Anandtech because a lot of the games on that list are more preferential to Nvidia hardware. I usually try to use Guru3d or Overclock3d instead, and on there the general consensus is that the setups are more or less equal, bar a frame or two here and there.
