What's a PUK code

Think you need it to unblock the sim. Like entering the pin wrong 3 times or something will block the sim. You'll then need the PUK code to unblock the sim?
 
it's a security number to reactivate a blocked phone. Either because someones typed the pin number in wrong or the provider has blocked it.
Just need to phone provider up, do some security checks and they will give it to you.
