whats accessing my router.

Hi all, well the wireless router arived and i have it hooked up to my machine with an ethernet cable for the moment and i though everything was ok.

However i have turned my machine on and booted up netmeter and there seems to be somethign using 5k up and 5k down constantly. Is there anyway i can identify what is using the router?

I have set the security stuff on the router so i couldnt have hitchhikers on *** router (not that netmeter would show that unless they were accessing my machine)

Any sugestions would be helpful

also im having a massive amount of ping while using Vent could this be because of the router?

download netlimiter and have a look to see if its not a bit of software on your computer thats using the internet.

Its only between the local network (ie my machine and the router) is this normal?
