Whats best PCI or USB

Oh thats a little picky, you know what I mean... They dont need any EXTRA drivers, but yes you are correct, everything needs some form of driver.

Erm, it wasn't explicitly directed at you.
You certainly can't expect that all devices will have OS-supplied drivers just because it's USB or PCI though, which was partly my point. Expecting the OS, or vendor, to supply drivers is asking for trouble - you only have to look through this forum to find people looking for Windows 7 drivers.

Now you are just either lying, or that is somehow a trick question???

Neither. It's not even a question so feel free to demonstrate how I'm being deliberately dishonest...

Ok, nip in the bud time.

I mean this with some humour... But at the same time, I must call it back to you...

How can you claim that Ethernet devices need no drivers.

Now, Routers certainly dont, but the LAN card or Lan device in any given PC required to access the Ethernet certainly does.

This is where I am up in arms over your statement.

( up in arms? LOL )

Pretty easily. They don't.

Your network card does, but the device doesn't. I said the device, and the massive majority of wired network cards have drivers already bundled into whatever OS you use (probably because 99% of them are based on one of a handful of chipsets). It's a hell of a lot more guaranteed than either a PCI or USB wireless card.

There's nothing to "nip in the bud", or be "up in arms" about. Read what I actually posted...though I think we've wandered well off the topic anyway.

Oh god, of course yes... The device does not but the LAN Card does!!!

Yes ok, thats a fairly logical statement that completely went whoop above my head!

And whats even more thick of me is that I also said the same thing.

Yes, we have gone off topic.

Topic? - You dont see Topic bars anymore do you? - LOL
