Whats better Seagate or WD harddrives?

Today, I've just bought a 1TB WD Caviar Black (reordered while awaiting RMA refund) and a 2TB Seagate. I'll let you know which one breaks down first. :D

I have a samsung 1Tb atm its nearly 10000 hours used so it could go any min.

Im looking for performance/quiet i know thats hard but i hate stupidly loud ones and dont fancy a snail. Im on SATA2 still but will buy a SATA3.

The main purpose of the purchase is for loading games faster. I know SSD is fastest but im not paying them prices and ill get them in a bundle with a new pc next year anyways.

500GB will do for now ill use this old 1TB for storage of movies and stuff.

I have Windows 8 pro 64bit ready for this so boot times should be faster too.

Ive seen some Seagates for 50 and some WD for 50 so what do you guys think?

Also im buying a new graphics card monday with them so do i pay for postage once or twice? And do i get the SATA cables with the HDs or need buy them seperate?

Cheers.

I'd go with Western Digital. Heard less bad stories about them all in all

Also, if you have the budget, get a ssd. They are worth the money.

it might benefit from a format and chkdisk, back up your data though,if its less than three years old your still in warranty

Well i ordered a 500gb WD so will use this as me main drive now and leave the other as a storage drive.

I will format when i get all the important stuff from it then it should be nice.

I tend to go for ones with 5 year warranty and most brands otehr than wd don't offer that

The seagate 2TB 7200 hdd now has 2 yr warrenty (checked on their online checker, mine ends dec 2014)
