whats better then a i7920

If it is going to be a insurance claim type replacement you could even say that seeing as the I7 920 was on the enthusiast platform (socket 1366) you would need the currant enthusiast platform (socket 2011) so a an I7 3820 would be the equivalent processor. :)

I completely agree, I mean the X58 has triple channel memory and the LGA 1155 only has dual channel, so the insurance company really can't expect the OP to accept an inferior system. LGA 2011 is the fair option (with the i7 3820 being the cheapest CPU available on the socket) - good call.

This would be the fairest replacement if you're going to say Sandy Bridge isn't acceptable:

no insurance replacement.. found out i dont have any !

So it will be out of my pocket! so.. im looking at ANY good I7 chip on offers and a good MB plus memory etc then i gotta think Grafxcard Etc and i would like a Blueray Righter too Etc so any ideas what ever is On offer let me know i need a good deal ! thanks:confused:
