What's going on with Crossfire??

Depends on the game, some I get so close to double performance as it doesn't matter i.e. 96% gains, but on average I find SLI gives about 70% gains which is still pretty good...

with same settings using SLI I'm only getting the same FPS give or take a few fractions with a 7950GX2... so I guess your score is around the right area.

i'm getting 90%+ scaling @ 1920x1200 with my 3870's in a lot of titles, you get less as your resolution decreases.

ppl love to speculate on things they've never used before, but speak like it's gospel.

i've used crossfire with a 1600xt + 16500pro also 2x 2600xt.. yes i agree some games it does give a big boost e.g in Medal of Honor Airborne. but one problem i found was if the game in crossfire it takes ati 2 or 3 months to add it to the driver...

i wasn't singling you out, just ppl in general who mouth off about multi gpu setups and have never used them.

this is my first time with crossfire so i guess i'm lucky in that the 3870's have had good results from the start and the 7.12's have improved on this even more - but i have used SLI before and i also had good results with that too.

there not that good better of spending the money on a higher end card, there is
so much performance in cheap cards these,s days we have never had it so good when it comes to graphic cards.
I personally wish I had bought a single higher end card than the 2 I have.
These cards are going in my daughters pc I.ll get a new one.
