you should run chdisk and view the report, you might have bad sectors, which it doesnt say when it says "ive fixed things!" or whatever
other one to run is hdtune, hd test and itll come up red where theres bad sectors
No need to as win 10 install has done the job, download steam games again last night and tested today, and all is fine. It may of been down to a win 7 update that was mentioned as posible cause.
Anyway, updating to win 10 pro has fixed the issue and all my steam games launch and play just fine. Cheers once again for all the advice.
