what's gone wrong

I've just OC'd my Athlon 4200 from stock 2.2Ghz to 2.3Ghz (multi x10, FSB 230). all stable by both orthos and prime95 are both stopping at around 20seconds. core temp is 27 idle and around 40 max load

RAM is Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-5400C4

any ideas?

Thats a pretty small overclock to be failing orthos. What mobo are you using? have you tried running OCCT?

try 11 *210, if that works you know its not cpu and can look at ram/mobo.

that also crashed at around 2mins mark

tried that, but after around 10-15mins it blue screen'd. so i've returned to stock speeds

try 10x 220 (stock cpu mhz, oc on ram and mobo) see if that works ok. if it does you just have the worst clocking x2 ive ever seen

- try more v-core 0.05 more say might get you stable at 230*10

tried that speed, all fine, but the tests stated in earlier posts are crashing out
