So just built my first PC and im in the middle of installing windows 10. I had to make the media creation tool on macos so had to use a homebrew workaround but it sesms to have worked because im at the installation window of windows 10. Anyway as i agreed to terms and selected the only option, my 232gb ssd (on storage i have atm) it gave an error that it couldnt be installed. I thought weird hit cancel and tried again and now when im selecting storage i see all these partitions?? Is it a case of deleting partitions 1-3 and hitting format on partition 4 befire going ahead to install again?

Turns out cant upload photo. So the window says :
Drive 0 partition 1: recovery 529mb type recovery
Drive 0 partition 2: 99mb type system
Drive 0 part 3 16mb type MSR(RESE) cant see end of word
Drive 0 part 4 232.2gb type primary (assume this is my ssd)

Assuming you only have your SSD plugged in then all those partitions are on your SSD (they say "Drive 0" so all on the same physical disk). Just delete all of them and select the empty space to install on.

Ok cheers just did that. Same error "windows could not prepare the computer to boot into the next phase of installation. To install windows restart installation" guessing there must be something wrong with my workaround but god only knows what fs. Be much easier if i had access to a pc.. The irony..

Hmm yeah I've only seen that happen once before and recreating the bootable USB fixed it so that's worth a try. Grab the ISO from the media creation tool and use Rufus if you can.

Trying to use MBR partitioning instead of GPT to see if that works

That worked incase anyone is looking at this and was curious
