Q6600 with a X1950

Currently running winsmp quite happily as a service under XP, should I run the graphical client alongside this or just leave it be?

leave it be - move x1950xtx to low spec pc and use the GPU client on that.

No help when you game - but will improve you ppd

If it is doing nothing other than fold then 2 x VMWare clients with 2 SMP clients per VM.

Total of 4 SMP clients giving you around 3000PPD - probably more if its overclocked to within an inch of its life, knowing you

I didn't know the Win SMP client could be run as a service, is this new because the guys at the folding forum sure didn't recommend this when they originally released it!!!

Some people have trouble, and as you say it wasn't reccomended when it was first released, but I have run it as a service since the start and never have a problem.

Works fine for me under XP pro, does not work in Vista.
