My housemate can't cook for ****, (she couldn't even turn on our simple gas cooker until I showed her recently). But worryingly she's insisted on cooking Christmas dinner for us both, and despite my offers of help she insists on doing it all on her own with no assistance or advice.

So what's on my Christmas menu?

Breakfast
Toasted buttered crumpets and coffee.

Xmas Dinner
Over/under cooked unseasoned stuff (I'm afraid to even guess what it will consist of).

Dessert
Food Poisoning

Christmas Dinner: Fairly standard affair of turkey, potatoes, carrots and parsnips, garlic green beans, chestnut stuffing, pigs in blankets, Yorkshire puddings, cranberry and orange sauce.

Dessert will be the orange and chocolate Yule log my girlfriend is currently preparing.

Having gammon and roast pheasant tomorrow. Main Christmas dinner is on boxing day, having mussels, gravalax, pate and king prawns, then goose with all the trimmings, including pigs in kilts! Then Christmas pud and a croquembouche then cheese.

loads of booze, chat and fun. And I'm getting car sex in the morning ;-)

Lunch is going to be :

Starter - smoked salmon with a glass or two of champagne

Main - Fillet steak from Donald Russell, with chips, mushrooms and a side salad, washed down with a bottle Of Haan Wilhelmus 2006.

Dessert - Pannacotta

I tend to pick the food to go with the wine these days.

Lunch today was a fryup, consisting of two potato scones, sliced sausage, two rashers of bacon, scrambled egg, chopped tomatoes, grilled mushrooms, black pudding and 2 slices of buttered bread. Now I gotta digest it all in time for a big turkey dinner with all the usual trimmings :) Dessert will be a trifle bought from a local bakers.
