Game xp?

Enditall is good, it'll protect some it doesnt think you should close and you change that quite easily. Its similar to tsk mgr. I often got down to 100meg on win xp with that in a few seconds.
Its just about possible to run some BF2 64 player maps in half a gig :o :D

Start > Run - "msconfig" > Startup > disable all that arent needed. :)

Then whilst in Windows CTRL + ALT + DLT and shut down other unwanted apps. You should aim for 25 or less depending on what you got installed etc. :)

Google the process names to find out what they do, that way you won't shut down anything important. You'll also learn a bit about what your computer is doing, and if it's running anything it shouldn't be ;)

Yeah, I know all about msconfig and task manager fellas, but I was looking for a "one touch" solution that could be toggled on and off quickly.

Its not actually for me, I rarely play games on the PC, its for a mate running CandC 3.

I've always found that unless you're running a massive memory intensive or cpu crunching program killing off background tasks and getting rid of serivces probably gives you no noticable increase in fps and any other problems are much better handled by buying more or better ram.
