Whats the best CPU for around £200?

best £200 (well £220) i spent was on my current mobo, ram and cpu - dont think you can get anywhere near that with a new or second hand 2500k setup.

1366 is as dead end a socket as the 1155 will be in many months time.

the mounting holes for 1156 and 1155 are the same, either will work for both.

and yer... 2 upgrades in 2 years... I don't have that kind of cash, if I did I'd spend it on a nicer GPU and either wait for ivy or just be sandy for another generation

In that case whats the best 1155 socket mobo for the i5 2500k Sandbridge?

There are some at £150 and some at £300.

In a nutshell is one double the other? They all seem to be pretty similar to me lol.

Get all the gear at once It's no good having the CPU and motherboard sitting around while you gather pennies for the ram and HDD.
