I have a coolermaster 460 Watt PSU. This one here

Whats the best graphics card I can use with this?

I have:

E6600
Ram in sig
One HD probably 250 sata to start
DVD Drive
PSU above in link

Its only a small computer, shuttle like. Full size cards would fit tho

I think anything up to a GTX 285 would be OK.

When you say shuttle like, what actual case is it? A lot of the new cards are too long to fit in smaller shuttle sized cases now.

I cant remember but the case is about 30cm long I think the biggest cards are 9inches?

So that PSU is good enough for some of the higher cards? I was thinking it might stop me going above a 8800 or something.

With a case that size most cards won't fit. Something like a 4870 is over 30cm long by itself. I think the Asus 4850 will fit though, just take some measurements and you'll know for sure.

I never knew the 4870 was over 30cm? That is one hell of a long card!

I thought the nvidia cards were only 9inches long

Its 22.5cm high

And 33cm long

The 4800 series (4850 and 4870) are 9.5 inches long apart from the X2 cards. The nvidia GTX series are 10.5 inches. These are for reference designs so should fit fine.

I went off the rainforest site, looking at the real dimensions I can only assume they decided it would be a good idea to give measurements of the box. I'll know in future not to trust their descriptions

Don't forget you also need to get the power cable in them if you go ATI where as Nvidia's connectors are on the side.
