Runescape, i don't care what anyone has to say about this game, it's one of the best if not THE best browser games out there. (although i don't play it anymore)

www.kongregate.com has some cracking games on it gemcraft is an awesome tower defence game, elona shooter is also very good

Just simple fun games to play on a laptop when bored for half hour.

Kind of like racing or shooting games.

well the ones i mentioned take a bit of time to get "good" at but there still fun, and as said before just check out kongregate there pretty good loads of choice, miniclip.com is also another to check

Mardek RPG chapters 1-3.

Spent and enjoyed a lot of time on them, more than a lot of games I've paid £30+ for.
