What's the best way to clean the inside of a block?

But how do you do the actual flushing in the complete loop or separately somehow??
fill the rad with water and shake, empty and repeat until nothing but water comes out.

I did this but still my blocks had bits wedged in the fins so I fitted a filter.

After my cillit bang treatment I rinse the baseplate out under the tap while agitating with a old toothbrush then dry it thoroughly and put it back together again.

I have tried cleaning the whole loop before with the Mayhems Blitz Pro treatment (part 1 only for the rads then part 2 for the whole loop) and didn't find it to be particularly good.

Yes I tried Blitz as well waste of money, and it took ages to flush all the foam out, Vinegar worked far better for a few pennies :)

all the fancy coolents are just glorified tapwater with some super wonder :) additives.
Water Cooling is more Hype than anything else, companies charging a fortune for a few cheap chemicals, your not going to get strange beasts or seaweed growing in your system :)
If you're using our tap water, you'll get more than just a few beasties!!!
Working for the local water company and knowing what goes into it, I was quite concerned about letting it anywhere near my w/c rig!!

Must at least be drinkable, DI water and a spot of Nuke works fine, I've tried loads of branded coolents over the years, just stick with DI now, only costs pennies.

Depends on your immediate locality.
Put it this way - I'm considering buying shares in Vimto squash and the Mrs already has some in Britta water filters!! :D

Can you clean the residue out the loop with a bit of Isopropyl?
IPA seems to be the answer to everything at the minute...

I just use White Vinegar, or Cillent Bang for tough buildup.

Tried a few Wonder Cleaners, waste of money really, take longer to flush out the wonder cleaner than anything else.
