What's the best way to send a CPU through the post?

I'm going to be putting my old Athlon 64 on a certain auction site but don't have the box any more. What's the best way to protect it in the post so the pins don't get bent?

ok put the cpu in an anti static bag seal it with tape, put it in a small box for example a small jewlery box with foam inside then put that inside an A4 sized envelope lined with bubble wrap.

just make sure it has something solid like a very small box so that when the parcel is 'poked' it can't bend the pins.

no seriously. That is why I always keep the packaging from my electronics. I have a box full of anti-static bags of all sizes, foam, bubble wrap, etc...

I have horded a hell of a lot of packaging from all my PC's and upgrades over the years. I am very glad I kept the boxes that my PC cases came in because I have moved 4 times in the last 2 years!

I still have the retail packaging of my Pentium 4 Northwood 2.8GHz!

Not to mention the retail packaging and contents will yield more $$$ on a resale. If I ebay something I like the person buying it to experience what I did the first time I opened it minus the shrinkwrap.

Foam against the pins then put in an Antistatic bag in polystyrene if you have some then in a carboard box
