What's the Best Way to Set up Windows 7 on an SSD?

On my old raptor with Vista I just lumped Windows, apps and games on the raptor and have a 1TB drive for media.

What setup do people recommend or are there any optimal setups for basic Windows and Gaming performance?

I got an Intel 160Gb SSD and Windows 7 is arriving soon. What exactly are the benefits of having Windows on a separate partition? Is that just if you want to uninstall and re-install Windows? (I never re-installed Vista although it did grow a lot over the years)

If so, what is the optimal partition size for W7? Cheers.

I'd say about 25-30gb would be appropriate, then again I don't have any games installed anymore, waiting for FFXIV and MW2 which will take up a lot of space but I will just install them to my storage HDD anyway.

I basically install Windows and all programs on its own HDD then set all download folders from certain programs to my other storage drive, seems the best way for me.

I used a raid array for years but generally don't see the point anymore as my HDD is fast enough for what I do anyway.

I also use Acronis to backup my OS drive just in case etc.
