I've just bought a razor kraken tournament edition after trying a few in that price range (mid tier I guess).

It IS good, a little basey but some eq helps (I'm pickey, I record and mix music and my stock headphones are top end).

Only complaint I have is there not the loudest but that's probably not a bad thing... and after 35 yests of gigs, playing guitar through stacks, running live sound systems etc...well my hearing probably isnt ehsf it was.

Wireless is just paying lot for having very little selection.
While you can get very good wired headphones from actual audio makers for fair £100.

Id agree - you dont need wireless for a gaming headset - your not moving away from you screen anyway. Personally I only went for the gaming set for the mic and 7.1 sound. My "audio" headphones (MUCH MUCH better sound quality for similar price) still get used mostly - but they are only stereo (fine for most games but not if you need to hear directional stuff) and dont have the mic (if Im playing Co-op). Single player games that dont rely on directional sound and I just use my audio headphones not the gaming ones.

Not the Logitech Prodigy, maybe Steelseries Arctic 7? Dunno, nothing that's really outstanding. I'm using a HyperX Flight. I like it much better than the Prodigy. It's simple, long battery life (a full day with no lights, the Prodigy struggled), not heavy, build quality OK, comfort OK, range OK, sound OK, mic OK, no surround, no driver, pretty average across the board, but suits me just fine :D

I like wireless headsets, the freedom mostly. But there's nothing out there that ticks all the boxes.

Steelseries Arctis 7, had mine for about a month now and very happy with it.
I had a Corsair Vengence wireless headset for about 5 years and tried to replace it a year ago with the Corsair Void Pro wireless but i found that to be useless.
Arctis 7 ticks all the boxes for me, wireless, comfortable, retractable mic, mic mute button, good battery life.
Sound quality IMO is great, i understand you can get far better by either having a wire or spending more, but i only game on them with the odd bit of youtube watching so im not concerned with having perfect sound reproduction.
One thing i will say is they dont go as loud as some others, i have windows audio at 100% and the headphone volume at 100% and its just right for me, i do turn them down occasionaly but i have never wanted them to go louder than they can, if that makes sense.

Have to say that I've no idea why anyone buys a dedicated gaming headset. I just use a decent Marantz microphone and my Sennheiser headphones. Job done.

The best Wireless headset without question is the Steelseries Arctis Pro, have tried many many headsets and this one is a country miles ahead of anything.
While Sennheiser isn't closed headphone specialist have I don't doubt Sennheiser GSP670 beating them.

And then there's open design Sennheiser RS185 headphone and ModMic Wireless.
Just don't think that ability to take mic into some dinner table or into toilet is needed and normal ModMic with magnetic clasp would work basically as well.

best wireless and gaming i would vote for audeze mobius. I tried gaming on the Beyerndynamic amiron wireless and that was also very good but when gaming would prefer more bass. The sony 1000xm3 were also good but nothing to write home about, would not be my first choice for gaming.
