Thought they said they were a student, otherwise I'd recommend occupational health advice etc.
OP, have you tried a different mouse, like a handshake type one? How about a trackball?
Surprised this thread was allowed as bordering on a medical thread.
I was suffering with shoulder pain and similar issues last year. I got a new chair at work which helped a bit. But over the last few months I have been doing posture correction exercises and a few yoga exercises. I'm definitely seeing improvement.
Often these sorts of things can be a weakness. Do you exercise much OP, gym or anything else?
I need a chair that stays up a bit higher - with my proportions I have to use a desk that is right at the top of the recommended height and the gas lift on most chairs settle a little after being set resulting in bad posture and my shoulders and neck being scrunched up if I don't keep thinking to reset my position![]()
I sit like this.. 99% of the time.I tend to sit with my legs criss crossed but with my right leg on top of the left (so they are not crossed really) and they go under the desk or I put them on the top of the desk and scooch forward so my knees are touching the top of my chest.
Dunno why but its comfortable and no pain lol, I actually start to ache alittle if I sit in the "proper way" for a long period.
Can sit like that for hours with no issues....
Yeah it certainly wouldn't look very professional to sit with your legs on the deskim the same, i sit with the screen directly in front of me, arms at 90 degrees etc all the stuff they tell you to do
i still get pain in my right shoulder
unfortunately this is my work so there is not a lot i can do
i try and take lots of short breaks and stretch my arms
