i hear dp and hdmi offer better picture quality over dvi..? although it's dependant on your display screen... is this true?

they are all digital so they are all identical in terms of picture quality

they all have slightly different max resolutions - e.g. HDMI 1.4a currently only supports 3D up to 720p @ 60hz or 1080 @ 24hz (GTX 680 has 300mhz HDMI which does support 3D at higher res, but no monitor or TV currently has the 300mhz reciever to enable that)

in this respect DVI is actually better than HDMI as it does allow 1080p 3D @ 60hz

the easiest is just to get whatever cable your monitor has support for and not mess about with converters

edit; just looked up your monitor and it should have come with a dual link DVI cable in the box - this would be your best solution
