WD Blue and WD green?

i currently have a 500gb sata 2 WD Blue as a secondary drive as i got my sata 3 1tb down to 170gb over several months :eek:

ha and i won a 500gb WD green of whatever sata interface at a very good price(£7.50 compared to £15 for the blue)which i should get tomorrow as i got the Blue to 35gb which i now got back up to between 150-260gb..

ideally i wanted another 1tb to replace the Blue, but i didnt have a spare £22 and the shop is all sold out.

and also though i havent figured out how to work the file situation, would raiding the 2 500s be good given the colours? ive never had green or anything other than blue.

WD dont do a Green anymore they are now all Blues but dependant on the hdd size the new Blues will spin at either 5400 or 7200 rpm just like the old Greens and Blues.

Apparently Greens are more energy efficient, but who knows?

thanks for replies, this one states it runs at 7200rpm so if thats true then i guess its no better, but is that also all that really matters when it comes to raids? ive raided the odd hard drives before, but they were all sata 2 and nothing special.
