The GT is G92
the 9800 uses 2 8800 GTS cores as it has 256 SP total, if it was 2 8800 GTS, it would be 224 total
So which is it? It seems even you cannot decide.
Still undecided? First you say that stabilty doesn't matter only the score.
Then you say in the next breath benching on an unstable system is bad!
no i said that benching on an unstable system is no worse than running prime and it failing
easy come easy go
yeah its a real shame that the 9800 is not two cores on one pcb![]()
Also a shame its old 2006 tech.![]()
I'm a fairweather bencher
Hey I beat Raja with his cascade!
Here we go again
What are the G92's, 8800's, when were the 8800's released, November 2006, so that makes the G92's what, yes over 1 year old tech, doesn't matter when they came out, as they are the exact same tech, just put on a smaller process, 9 series are yet more of the same, old 2006 tech.
If everyone wanted to buy a GTX/GTS/Ultra that used less power, and gave out less heat, they would have waited till now (2008) to buy them, they wouldn't have bought them way back in 2006 when they were released.
Its crap, we need something new now as were in 2008, please stop churning out cards from 2006.![]()
I would only pay £199.99 for a brandnew oneTheres a leadtek GTX in the sale section for £200
