Between:-

CANON EOS Rebel XTi EOS 400D

and

CANON 400D

hmmmm

I saw this CANON EOS Rebel XTi EOS 400D on a well known auction site...

I mean hmmm??/

so there are no disadvantages...just wanted to clarify?

Might want to check where you stand with warranty, however the camera may not have any as it is being purchased off said auction site and could be older than 12 months. No disadvantages, in fact, I like the term 'Rebel Xti' better.

I wonder why they picked different names for the same camera in different countries... The only reason I can think of is that they thought the people in America looking to buy an entry level DSLR might be confused/put off by something complicated like numbers!

I despise the term greatly, and despite the fact that the 400D is an entry level dSLR, the name sounds so un-professional.

The, 350D was the Rebel XT, no? Not as obvious to tell apart from them names as 400D and 350D.

There was probably a product out in the states called "400d" so couldnt market it as the same.
