Whats the easiest way of hosting a file online?

I need to host a file for a mate of mine, unfortunately his email size limit is really small. My file I want to send to him is only 10mb in size. I was hoping that there is a easy way of uploading a file to a server, so he can download it from his end.

What the easiest (and free) way of doing this?

Install apache on your machine, port forward port 80 to your machine on your router. Then you can use http://youripaddress/filename.doc
