Hi (first post and I have searched for an answer)
I have recently changed a few parts of my PC and I am in the process of upgrading bit by bit.
I have an Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 Rev2 (Socket 775) motherboard and a Q6600 processor.
I have read the specs on the Asrock website and it mentions that:
So does this mean that if I can only have a max of 2GB of DDR2 memory? i.e 2x1gb sticks or 1x2gb? and not 2gb per slot = 4gb?
Also can anyone recommend any good value for money memory?

Dual Channel DDR/DDRII memory technology*
- 2 x DDR2 DIMM slots
- Supports DDRII667/533 non-ECC, un-buffered memory
- Max. capacity of system memory: 2GB
- 2 x DDR DIMM slots
- Supports DDR400/333/266 non-ECC, un-buffered memory
- Max. capacity of system memory: 2GB
*DDRII and DDR are supported separately
So does this mean that if I can only have a max of 2GB of DDR2 memory? i.e 2x1gb sticks or 1x2gb? and not 2gb per slot = 4gb?
Also can anyone recommend any good value for money memory?
