Whats the next big "wait for it" upgrade

I just bought a e6420 as i see no point in getting a quad core untill they will be mainstream, next upgrade i think everyone will want is the 9 series or next ati cards depending on performance.

It is really hard to buy a new rig and not have someone a week later have better kit for the same price. You just have to bite the bullet and go for it.

However, if you choose wisely you can open up an upgrade path, so future upgrades are cheaper.
 
aaah.. the waiting game.... a game you will never win.

there will ALWAYS be something new and coming soon.

if your PC is struggling to do what you want it to do, then upgrade.


anyway, the newest and latest always carry a premium and the sensible money goes on something slightly just behind "latest"

current sweet spot i think is E6600 conroe for example

Dunno about price cut, but buying one over there is likely to save you at least 50 quid i imagine.
