What's the nvidia equivalent of a 7850?

Well obviously benchmarks for cards like the 7970 ghz ed and titan are not 2 years old.

Where I totally agree that it is not an up to date comparison of the latest performance from either side due to driver updates it still give a rough estimation of performance between lots of different cards.

They don't. on both sides there have been big differences in different games with Driver updates, 20 - 30% on both sides.

its not even a rough estimate, its completely out of sync with todays reality.

The thing with the 7850 vs the 7870 is the 7850 is under clocked to give the 7870 a performance lead gap (860Mhz vs 1000Mhz) clock the 7850 up to 1000Mhz and the difference is 5%, and it will over clock to the same levels as the 7870.

If your going to spend £180 to £200 on a GPU the 7870 Tahiti LE sits around that price and is slightly faster than the GTX 660TI, never mind the GTX 660.

Having said that there are some good deals on the GTX 660 at the moment
