What's the oldest component in your current rig?

my system is new this year, but my oldest peripheral is my keyboard and mouse still doin a good job

Nothing much. I did a complete upgrade at the end of 2006 so the parts are all from then.

EDIT - actually I'm still using the DVD RW drive that came with my Dell workstation in 2004.

On the second PC... probably a 9800 Pro. Great card though.

I got my moniter 2nd hand but it's by far the oldest component (1998 I believe).

Other than the floppy drive or case screws, nothings older.

I took the floppy drive out so award now goes to ghetto drilled Globalwin GW802 case circa 1999.

Same for me, with 4 120mm fans, Fantastic case, I still see no reason to change it

My Audigy 2 ZS and Breakout box... mainly because its good kit and not worth replacing at the moment.

Oh, and the case.. had to get a new PSU for it at the weekend. It blew up in my hand when fault finding quite spectacularly.

Soundblaster Audigy circa. 2001. It was a wildly extravagant purchase at the time (£50-£70?), but coupled with my equally ancient Cambridge Soundworks speakers they've provided solid service ever since.

Most of my PC is of the 2004 era.

Floppy drive out of a 486, probably about 14 years old, no idead if it works.

My CDR is a 32x one bought for an AMD K6, so it's probably 6 years old now.
