What's the oldest hardware you have that you are still using?

Up until the release of the 4790, I was running a Q6600 setup.

Now I am still using my old Gigabyte 480GTX GPU card and I have a Cyborg Evo Joystick that gets used every now and then. ;)

Q6600 are still good CPUs unless your doing high end gaming or other high end desktop stuff. Those core 2s really were something special.

The Model M doesn't have any Windows keys, does it?

To be honest, unless there is a radical change in keyboard design or input for the pc, I can't see myself changing anytime soon. Quite happy with my clicky keys :)
Man, I just got a flash of nostalgia for when windows keys first appeared and people were apoplectic about pressing them accidentally all the time.

I have a pentium 3 system in the attic that I might get out just to play with if I have a spare hard drive, think only got 256mb ram as put 1 stick in my nan system few years back

I recently built a NAS using a 1TB hard disk that came out of an OcUK build from 5 years ago.

I was using my 1981 BBC Micro as well until recently, but my Cub monitor's tripler popped its clogs (gives you a blurred image) so will have to replace that. But yeah the Beeb itself is fine.

No, it doesn't. I have the Caps Lock key assigned as the Windows key as I use the Windows key shortcuts a lot. I can activate Caps Lock by holding Ctrl and pressing Caps Lock.

My ex-gf still has my old AMD athlon x2 and 8800gt setup, still works afaik! My Grandma also has my old E6400 going strong from a budget build.

I suppose that is a pretty good option. Don't remember the last time I used the Caps Lock key. Certainly a better option than replacing the keyboard :)

did have a vista laptop that lasted 5 years, died a few months back though.; I suppose my oldest component now is 1 - 2 yrs probz the CPU.

I did find an old manual for windows 95 in my house but no disk lol

the OP made me smile, good to know I'm not the only one still using a vostro 1510!
mine is in the kitchen running ubuntu with xbmc and mixxx (mp3 DJing software), mostly used for watching films while I cook/eat.

I have a very old 24" monitor in the living room, which I occasionally hook the vostro up to. I think it's probably from around 05-07, it's a DGM.

also, my dad still uses my old dell dimension 5150 (core2duo e6300, 1.86GHz) for music production and watching sports, think I got that in about 06, my intro to PC gaming and overclocking....ah the nostalgia :)

Im still running a C2D E6750 with 4Gb Ram, 2 x 360Gb HDD's and a Radeon HD 4670, get used around 5/6 hours a day, and more at weekends. Im actually amazed it's still running.

The CPU is overclocked, but not masses, only 3.2Ghz, from 2.66
