Hehe. I think the reason is that the nF4 controller sits directly on the PCI-e bus. Normally it would max at 300Mb/s on an add-on controller but as the chipset is on the bus itself, when it combines the bursts it breaches this. I'm not entirely sure on this, but it seems mildly logical.
