Whats this warning light?

Evening all,

My old man has a 2001 Ford Galaxy tdi and this keeps coming on. It usually goes off as soon as the ignition is turned but it now beeps once and stays on. I've had a quick look in the owners manual but it does not show this symbol. I don't think its the abs or brake warning light as they are different to this one.

Anyone know what it is...?

Self destruct warning light.

Okay so maybe it's a symbol for worn brake pads (from memory anyway)

brakes, it amazes me how many people drive cars yet don't even know what the basic universal warning symbols mean :/

Right thanks for the quick reply guys. Shame it doesn't tell you whether its the front or rears. Never mind will have a look for him tomorrow.

None of my own cars have had low brake pad sensors. I always used to manually check them everytime I had to take the wheels off. You learn something new everyday :cool:

its a symbol to wave your hands in the air in disbelief that there's something wrong with your car!
