What's too hot for a internal HDD?

Currently installed a fourth drive in my Thermaltake Shark and the 120mm fan blowin' on it seems to not be up to the job anymore.

HD4 - 64C
HD3 - 54C
HD2 - 53C
HD1 - 39C

As you can see HD1 is the lowest temp due to being at the bottom (heat rises as you know). So basically, is the HD4 too hot?

i would have said so, out of interest are the hdds stacked ontop of each other with the fan blowing on them? maybe try space them out for example leaving a gap between each one if its possible, as it will help with the airflow and the heat wont just instantly rise to the next hdd.

Yeah, they are stacked up on one another, but are spaced out as much as possible. Is there a HDD stacker I could possibly buy or a HDD cooler?

Yikes they're getting a bit toasty! I'd be looking to keep them under 50C if possible.

What are you using to measure the temps?

The maximum running temperature for most drives (including the raptor but excluding the new 7200.10 drives) are 55C max. The max static (non-operational) temp for most drives (as above) are 65C max. The 7200.10's are slightly more heat tollerant at 60C and 70C max (IIRC). I would suggest you try to ensure you don't run your drives near or beyone their "redline" permanently and try to ensure they stay below 40 if at all possible (though below 50 is probably acceptable too, but perhaps less ideal.) Make sure they're well spaced with fans pulling are over them from the front/side, particularly the top ones, and/or consider moving one or 2 into the 5.25 inch bays if you can't get them cool enough in the 3.5 drive bays. (Aside: I've got a 7200.10, a 4 year old Maxtor Diamondmax 9 200Gb and a pair of Raptors, all in perfect health, which I put down in part to keeping them cool and possible luck of the draw... :) They all idle around the 32C mark -ish depending on ambient temperature.)

There not that bad to be honest.
I think a little adjustment would see them all down below 50c which is where i would want them.
I would try to reduce my ambient temp therefore reducing the HD temps.

Installed a 120mm fan and swapped the drives about a bit and voila, everything is 40C max.

Thanks for the help guys, much appreciated. (ByteJuggler especially for the lengthy and informative reply :D)
