What's up with the search function?

Thinking of grabbing a GTX 660 whilst it's still on offer to replace my current GTS 450, yet when I try to search the fora for any relevant information I get this.

You'd have thought that with the core business being PC Hardware that you cold easily search for such terms. Just for the record, I didn't include the asterisk, that were added by the search function for some reason.

There's also the annoying "feature" when you sure for a word which is very popular, and it tells you that you can't search for it. Why do you think I'm searching for it? .

I always use google search, vbulletin's search is awful!

It's worse when using your phone, constantly having to go to advanced search.

whenever i search for my posts i get a thread from years ago that i haven't posted in lol

it was before i even joined too, its some manga thread i think it is.

Doing a search for "GTX 660" on here works for me...
