What's with smart shorts?

I'm trying to find some relatively cheap holiday stuff before heading away next week but I can't find any decent shorts Every store seems to be stocking up with these hideous formal looking numbers which are just....gay! What happened to a decent pair of cargo shorts?

Any recommendations would be nice! I'd also like to buy some swim shorts which aren't riddled with BRIGHT floral patterns.

Try a skate shop. I picked up some nice plain khaki cargo shorts in one.

Boardies! Seriously comfortable, they dry in about 5 mins and look great...although the proper ones are quite expensive.

Actually I could see myself in both, but if I had to choose, the abercrombie ones. Personally I quite like the floral stuff too! I have some nice lime vilebrequin shorts with lots of different blue dogs on them! Rank but I like.

I've been round the usual, zara, H&M, frasers, topman...and so on and haven't yet spotted a single item of clothing I fancy for going away with.

I prefer picking them up when I'm out shopping tbh. I don't mind travelling to make any purchases, I just generally avoid shopping for clothes online.

I was in a Primark the other day and they had some alright shorts on the cheap...

I had a quick look in Primark but I promptly left due to a load of nut case women wrecking the shop and barging into me. One woman, carrying an epic pile of garbage screamed "excuse me" because I was stood between a tiny fixture that frankly, would've taken a fraction of a second to walk around! Long winded story but it completely ruins the shop.
