What's with the avatars on this site?

I've been a member on this forums for a while but haven't really used them all that much, One thing ive always wondered is why everyone has pictures of guys in black and white photos ?

He asked "where it came from" not what they meant. There is no such thing as a "Commissario" in the mafia (where the rest of the titles come from), the highest is the Boss or Don. The only higher you could be would be the 'capo di tutti capi' (boss of all bosses).

Personally, to retain the mafia theme I would have gone with...

"Soldiers" = Users
"Capos" = Section Moderators
"Dons" = Forum Moderators
"Capo Di Tutti Capi" = Forum Owner

So basically, OCUK is just a MMORGP where you choose an avatar and play as a character loosely based on yourself where you compete to perform tasks for moderators in exchange for new statuses and power ups?
