They can be turned off in options I think. If not it can be turned off with userstyle. They don't bother me.

Rather than the Mafia avatars, I'm surprised they are not based around computer components..

Underboss - Graphics Card
Etc etc.

The Mafia bit has always struck me as a bit at odds with what the forum is supposedly all about, I'm surprised it's theme didn't change with the ownership tbh.
