basically i have been having really weird issues with my system.

i should state i run cracked windows*cough* with sp2 and none of the latest updates always have and dont plan to change until i buy vista near christmas for dx 10 games.

my disk is a seagate 7200.10 with 2 partitions C and D.

rarely have i noticed issues although a game i had left on my d partition that worked fine did error and i had to re download this game.

but today its went nuts i dragged and dropped a bunch of Hd avi files from one folder on d to another and they refused to work giving errors that the file is in use and varios other files also gave the same error.

upon investigation i can see now using an example of me wanting to move a picture file from one spot on my d partition to another dragging the file will corrupt it but using copy and paste will not cause error's.

i have never really had a bad hard drive where should i start lads?

also the pc is heavily overlocked but seems stable for games from what i remember memtest passed at the current timing at the current clock speed and the seagate seatools short test also passed i intend to run a full test and memtest again tomorrow.

i also am using a gigabyte GA-965p-DS3 motheboard with the sata drive in ide mode (not legacy i think) using no drivers.

but im stumped on this problem!

well it passed the seatools for windows short and extended test but problem still persists sigh what the hell do i do now apart from memtest ram again?
