whats wrong with my monitor? pic included

i just started to notice this recently, i thought it was dust on the screen at first but it's not coming off

it seems to vanish with a 100% white screen so i don't think it's dead pixels? rma time or?

eeew, im not sure, first thoughts would have been moisture has got under your screen around the edge but im not too sure.

im sure someone will come along and give you a whole load of possibilities of what it could be tho.

Do you spray fluids onto your monitor to clean it? or similar? Had a few laptops/screens with this problem due to fluids getting behind the screen, if this is the case you ant got a chance of an rma, being there and done it twice

they can spot it a mile off.

i've never sprayed anything on it, i just use a dry soft cloth to dust it.

Well I'm not sure at all what's wrong with both these monitors guys but definitely worth exchanging. It looks bad now and surely can only deteriorate even more with time.

no because the warranty ran out 8 months ago, I use it as a secondary LCD as I now have a Dell 2407FPW.

this is only about 6 months old. so whats the best way to get a replacement? rma request from overclockers or get in contact with NEC?
