Using a brand new TL-WN822N (https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-023-TP) with the latest drivers.

Any ideas?

any other devices that might be using wireless ?

also how close are you to the router, as signal strength can effect the speed a lot, especially if you have a few walls in the way.

althou ur speed isn't all that bad for wireless.

u wont have any chance getting the full 50mb via 802.11g thou, u'll need to upgrade to 802.11n if you want to make use of a 50mb connection via wireless

That's not unusual for a 54Mbps connection - it doesn't take make for the speed to slow down.

Cycrow is 100% right, you'll not get 50Mb throughput on 802.11g, but your card is 802.11n as is the router so one of the few things is going on.

a) distance from the router has slowed the speed to a co-incidental 54Mb
b) The router or card is in 802.11g mode (if they have it)
c) There is another 802.11g device connected which may cause the router to fall back to 802.11g speeds.
d) There is a fault somewhere.
