Its not really a question worth asking, any PC can be improved upon, it depends what you need from it and how much you're willing to spend, and of course everyone has different ideas about what can be improved on and wether its worth it and so on....... and so on.......

Perhaps asking a slightly different question would get a better response?....:)

Something like....

phew :)

No major upgrades planned any time soon - maybe a bigger HD for wife's PC (would she listen when I said 80GB wouldn't be enough for Photoshop work?). Then next year I'll probably do a major upgrade for Vista/DX10. I also want to build the wife a monster design workstation - once she's graduated and has got a nice job!

Here's my rig:-

Socket 754
AMD A64 3700+
Epox EP-8NPA SLi motherboard
2x BFG 7800GT OC in Sli
2x 1GB sticks of PNY PC3200 @ 2.5-3-2-5 1T (instead of stock 3-4-4-8 1T)
2x Maxtor D/Max 10 160GB Sata hdds in 2x Vantec Vortex HDD coolers
NEC ND 4550A DL DVDRW
MSI CR52 52x32x52 CDRW
Hiper Type R 580W Modular psu
3.5" Floppy Drive
Thermaltake Armour (aluminium) VA8000SWA
HP P1130 (Sony Trinitron) 21" crt.

Soon to have water cooling fitted comprising of:-

Aquaextreme 50z pump
Aquaextreme MP-05 PRO Limited Edition CPU Water Block
Aquaextreme MP-1 GPU block x2
XSPC passive reservoir
Alphacool NexXxoS Xtreme III Triple 120mm Radiator

CPU will be running at 2.75ghz when the watercooling is fitted and the graphics cards will be overclocked from the already clocked speeds of 471/1.10 to 490/1.20 or maybe a bit more. I know they will hit 506/1.24 on air but they get quite warm so hopefully the watercooling will sort that out. As for the cpu that will run at 2.795ghz on air prime and memtest stable.

Also to be fitted is a Creative Audigy 2ZS and a decent set of 5.1 speakers.
