What's your Favourite beer?

Old Dan, Sierra Nevada PA, Innis & Gunn, and Hardcore IPA.

All make the list at the moment for price, taste, and availability.

Left Hand Warrior IPA, Stone Ruination, Tempest Brave New World and my lager choice would be Bernard Unfiltered lager with Schiehallion being a close second choice.

Newcastle brown is one of the few beers with added E numbers, colours and flavours, a poor choice!

At last someone gets it, Newcastle Brown was once the UK's best selling bottled beer. It used to be a blend of a strong matured beer and a weaker lighter one......

According to Michael Jackson, Newcastle’s brewers blend two very different beers to produce their brown ale. One portion is brewed to a very high gravity so that fermentation creates extremely estery (fruity) notes they cannot achieve at normal beer gravities. That beer is then blended with a low-gravity “amber” beer to produce their standard at an original gravity of 1.045.....

Today it is brewed with the touch of a button and is out the door within a few weeks, with the exception of the colour (which is achieved by adding E150) it bears no resemblance to the crap they sell now.

On second thoughts my favourite beer is in fact Dogfish head 90 minute IPA. Forgot all about it due to never being able to buy it over here but just spotted a sign in a pub which jogged my memory. I am now fuming about not being able to get it.

Purity UBU, Fullers London Pride (bottles), Timothy Tayler Landlord, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale are all brilliant beers. Also Slaters Western and Slaters Columbia.

I quite like Marston's Pedigree.

When we were on a Caribbean cruise recently I discovered Carib (some call it beer, others lager) but for $1.50 a bottle or 3 for $3 I wasn't complaining! Lovely and light and reminded me of Corona with a hint of Singha. Definitely a beach beer though :)

Always have bottles of Bud in the fridge so that is I guess what I drink the most.

My favourite when I'm out is Peroni or if they don't have it, Calsberg.

Ales: Wandle, Sussex Best Bitter, Hophead

Beers: Stella (only from the source in Leuven mind), Domus, Gouden Carolus, Camden Hells Lager

Westmalle Dubbel.

Sainsbury's and Waitrose used to stock it but they've both stop selling it. It works out bloody expensive online if you don't buy a case so it's consigned to being a Christmas treat.
