Whats your most memorable gaming moment?

Many moments got me excited in Star Wars Galaxies :p
However, there were loads of jaw-dropping moments in all the MGS titles as well :)

Finishing SpinDizzy on the C64 after spending almost an entire week playing it during the school holidays and not turning the computer off as there was no such thing as "Save game" back then.

Had all the levels mapped out on bits of butchers grease proof paper and I'd roll it out on a morning, and try and find my way about, doing jumps, lifts, you name it.

Waiting 2 days to play my copy of Vice City on PS2.

Then waking up after we got back from Torquay and playing it for 6 hours straight. Didn't even realise i was playing it for 6 hours!

Many a TFC moment on the PC.

One which I really remember is; I created a clan for the morat cup, was 10-10 on two flags with both flags moving. Det (no idea where he is now!) was top spiral, flag moved and they held it for ages. Det was sure it didn't go up the spiral, looked for ages then it dropped, Det had killed him flag was stuck in the wall (still retrievable) I set up the SG, we capped, they didn't, we reset and held out.

Have plenty of gaming moments, many an I series finals e.t.c

Old clan matches on Halo PC. An absolutely awesome game! Or possibly receiving the "Historian" Achievement on bioshock :p Was quite painful!

Old clan match on Rainbow 6: Raven Shield against a clan called SAS-BX.

It was about 5 years ago, and I was still on 56k dialup. I ended up last man standing with an M60 LMG, whilst on Teamspeak with the guys againts the entire other team. I ducked into a corner and listened, heard a few guys, ran out firing and got a couple of kills, ran around the corner ane got another couple, bearing in mind my teammates were dying laughing through teamspeak my game was lagging so badly I was floating around the map. I heard the last guy, went around the corner, and he got me :( Never mind, it was good fun.

56k + Teamspeak Bandwidth + Game = Lag

Final Fantasy 7 - All of it was brilliant.

Zelda Ocarina of Time in a close second favourite. The entire games were so absorbing, inspiring and detailed :) Wonderful gaming

Edit: I really remember engaging with the emotive storylines in FF7 also- I found the bit where you visit the old'chap in the grand canyon type area really touching - more than any other game ive come across :)

A modern /updated graphics rerelease would be the ultimate gaming experience in my eyes

I knew you would post that, man one of the best times I have spent with gaming. RvS you will sorely be missed, without doubt the best game I have ever played before the poor community and hax0rs took over.

All of the best times I have had with gaming have always came online when playing with clan mates and clan wars. When I joined my first clan which will be what 6 years ago (christ how time flies) I had my first clan match with SBS.

I took out the entire team twice in two rounds, and was asked if I wanted to move clans. The first and only time that has happened. Brilliant times.

Square-enix is remaking FFVII for PS3 - but they won't tell you this directly.

My first real fight in Eve Online - I'd never, before or after, played a game that made my heart thump in my chest and gave me adrenalin shakes afterwards.

For those who don't know Eve Online, its a spaceship based MMORPG with secure areas of space where you are safeish and a lawless areas where you going to get spanked if you don't know what your doing.

When your stuff blows up its gone forever and you have to buy more. Most of the ships in game are generic hulls that you install modules on to get your unique fit. You start with very little and it's amazing how working hard to build your "uber ship" makes you really feel it when your about to loose it.

I've played pretty much every FPS and online shooter on the PC and nothing comes close to the times in EvE when your loosing something you'd really rather not :D

Everquest, before the big expansions and before the end game. The best of times. Taking the boat to Kunark for the first time, getting my epic, or first item with haste. Joining my guild, making friends, some truly magical memorable moments.

EverQuest for me too, getting the server first kill on Quarm in Planes of Power when there was us (Euro Guild) and Magister (American guild) up to that point and racing to down him first.

I think everytime I first turn on a new console and put in that first game. My Dreamcast was the best for me though, first booting up Sonic Adventure! The original Xbox had a similar effect though with Halo.

Lots of these fond memories, In no order

Turning on my 360, wide eyes ready for the immersion, same with PS1, PS2, N64

Upgrading my Gfx card to 64MB ( perhaps ) to Play UT online , where people were HPB (128Kers ) and LPB's (56kers)

Pumping coins into the bubble bobble arcade machine at John Moores Uni regulary whilst drinking. Class

Same venue challenging anyone for pints of stella at Point Blank Arcade - free beer all night!

Reading Crash mag for the unlimited time codes for Spindizzy on the Spectrum, typing in the pokes for ages and finding it worked after about 20 attempts, then my mom telling me to turn of the "machine" - She didnt understand the concept of gaming

Mutiplayer, heavy pintage with any guitarhero game is a frequent blast

sits back and sips coffee smilingg
