What's your pick for x570?

The gigabyte x570i aorus pro wifi has 2 m.2 connections doesnt it? One on top and one on back.

Didn't realise there's 1 on the back. However, I can't see where the Wi-Fi module would be situated as I'm not sure whether this is integrated onto the motherboard or whether it has a module. If the later then I assume this would take up an M.2 slot. I'll have to wait for reviews of this board to be safe. If it's integrated then this would be a superb motherboard to get for me.

Only issue, then, for me is the lack of an SPDIF connection. If the 2070/2080 Super has an optical output then I'll be sorted as this motherboard does have an onboard header for audio.

Not sure on that specific board but it’s usually a mini PCIe sort of slot in amongst I/O shield at the back.

Think im going to go for that board too, im just not too keen on the gold accents on it, nothing a little bit of steel wool cant get rid of though.

Yeah that and the light show put me off too, but I'm guessing the lights can be turned off. Otherwise I'm happy with the mobo. Swapped my 3700x for a 3800x though - if they OC as badly as some of the reviews are suggesting, I'll take the higher base clocks.

Guessing most boards are suffering from a bad case of early bios, so I might hold off on any serious overclocking until the dust has settled.

I think if not all the X570 boards, most of them have that NDA beta bios on them locking out overclocking and memory features, the ACE already has a new bios available for it and was only released today.

That's good to know! I saw the bios update but couldn't really decipher the description.

On a side note, am I right in thinking 20 pin USB 3.2 headers are backwards compatible with USB 3.0 internal cables?

I ordered a 3900x and I decided on getting msi X570 ace .

My last motherboard was a msi X470 carbon gaming pro. Since the prices of X570 are higher then X470 was and the first rice I had to pay was higher for X570 I decided to go for the better msi motherboard .

Ive has good experience with msi in the past and I liked the idea of 3 m.2 slots over ASUs hero which only had 2.

The msi boards have a better bios then gigabyte had so I decided to stick with the msi one

Just ordered my MSI X570 ACE, going by the shop today to pick it up, I'm waiting on a 3rd nvme drive which won't arrive until tomorrow, so I probably won't put it together today.

Seems to be one of the best sellers, the stock is going down quickly, only 4 left in stock.

All 3000 series CPUs will not have much head room to OC, since already been pushed a lot on turbo, its really not worth manual OC them, it give out more heat & life of the CPU.
Just slap it in the Socket & enjoy

2.5G Lan would also be for anyone using a decent multigig NAS, or even if u use a normal 1G NAS at the same time as internet.

Well can't see many going to pay more cash out for multigig NAS for a normal home 1 pc use.
we need AI Robots wired up with lan for the home

Not sure yet but at the very minimum probably the Gigabyte Aorus Elite (that is if I do go with X570).

Along with a 3700 or 3900X and 32GB of memory, this new beast of a system should do me nicely.
